With God's help 8.10.2026 Letter of thanks to Dr. Bracha Mani Nissim I would like to thank Dr. Bracha Mani Nissim for his humanity, for his professionalism, a doctor who instills confidence and explains things clearly. Already after the first meeting I understood that I was before a rare doctor with endless patience. For everything we asked, we received a clear and professional answer, a very thorough doctor. Less than two years ago I underwent surgery at a hospital in the central region, I had an excision of melanoma on the left side of my back, and a biopsy of the sentinel lymph node. But unfortunately, in a PET-CT scan three months ago, the result was, to my surprise, that the melanoma had returned very close to the site of the previous surgery. The doctors there determined that I needed complex surgery, including removal of all the lymph nodes on the left side, as well as a wide excision of the melanoma in two locations. In the meantime, I received two biological treatments, which had a good effect, and in the second PET-CT scan, the result was that the melanoma had disappeared completely. I was very happy about the result, but the joy was premature, because in the subsequent meeting with the doctors it turned out that despite the good result, they determined that I had to undergo a very complex surgery, including removal of all the lymph nodes on the left side, despite the severe side effects involved, as well as a wide excision of the melanoma in two locations. I came, on recommendation, to Dr. Bracha Mani Nissim at Hadassah, because we had doubts about the proposed treatment, and because I did not have satisfactory answers to our questions. A. If the second PET-CT determines that the melanoma has disappeared completely, why is a large and complex surgery needed, involving removal of all the lymph nodes - is there no other way? B. Why did the melanoma return in the same place? C. Were the correct lymph nodes imaged? Dr. Bracha Mani Nissim re-examined, thoroughly, both PET-CT scans. He determined that an additional imaging should be done the day before the surgery on the shoulder and under the armpit, and what impressed us especially was that my case was also discussed by the melanoma team in the department at Hadassah, and throughout the entire period before the surgery there was direct phone contact between us and the doctor, he updated us at every stage. In addition, the day before the surgery the doctor himself examined all six scans, and he was not satisfied with that, and on the day of the surgery he checked the suspicious areas again and again using manual ultrasound. The surgery itself went well, and Dr. Mani Bracha himself reported to us about the surgery at its conclusion, and we also received instructions from him on what to do after the surgery. The recovery of the surgical sites was good and fast. In conclusion, at every stage I felt confident that I was in good hands, today I feel that I was very lucky that I came to him. Dr. Mani Bracha Nissim is a very thorough doctor, humane and a professional of the highest degree, and I highly recommend him to anyone who has received a diagnosis of melanoma. With great respect - Rachel
