It all started with a small, strange little sore on my arm. I didn't attach much importance to it and thought that when I got the chance, I would go to a dermatologist and she would simply burn off the lesion. On one of the days of the war, I joined my husband at a dermatologist's appointment, and she suspected the lesion and referred me to plastic surgery. From there began a journey I never imagined. An appointment was scheduled for surgery using the Mohs technique, two layers were removed, and I was told the margins were clean. When the biopsy results came back, they contained a word I didn't know – sarcoma. I started searching the internet and trying to understand what I was facing. During my searches I came to Dr. Bracha, who decided to operate again, widen the excision area, and make sure the tumor had been completely removed. The test results showed that cancerous cells remained in the area of the first surgery – a finding that made clear to me just how important it is to keep investigating and treating until clear answers are obtained. Sometimes an angel arrives in the form of a doctor. Beyond his professionalism, I had the privilege of getting to know a man with a humane attitude. After the surgery, every time I sent him a message he would get back to me quickly, even when he was at a conference abroad. During a period of worry and uncertainty, knowing there is a doctor who listens, is available, and doesn't leave you alone – that matters. And most importantly, he instills calm in me and gives me the feeling that I am in good hands, providing reassurance at the moments when I needed it most. Alongside my warm recommendation of Dr. Bracha, I have an important message for everyone: Don't ignore something on your body that seems ordinary to you. I too thought it was just a small wound and kept postponing the check. If a new lesion appears or a change in the skin worries you, see a doctor and don't delay the examination – sometimes a test that seems minor can turn out to be important. I thank Dr. Bracha for his professionalism, personal attention, availability, and the calm he gives me throughout the entire process.
