''A doctor with extensive experience. I underwent nasal septum correction surgery with him a week and a half ago.
Currently I am still in the recovery process so I cannot yet feel the improvement from the surgery.
The experience could have been better with more empathy and patience. I hope the professor will take this into account and improve because overall this person is very professional.
Every meeting with the professor felt tense with insufficient explanations regarding the medical procedure. During the follow-up visit a week after surgery, for example, the doctor suddenly inserted an uncomfortable instrument into the nose without explaining a moment beforehand what he was going to do. An unpleasant experience that also did not feel sterile.
The final rating is below 5 because it also encompasses the surgical facility. The surgery was performed at Herzliya Medical Center. The place appeared clean and organized with pleasant reception, but the nursing staff during hospitalization was not service-oriented at all, questionably professional. When I requested help after surgery with a bandage for the bleeding nose, the nurse refused my request and told me I could apply a bandage to the nose myself, and the anesthesiologist injured my throat during intubation. The professor was not present at this time.
So in conclusion, I do not regret having undergone the surgery given that eventually the nose will heal and I will feel improvement in breathing. But I strongly recommend improving the patient experience more, and I have no doubt this will also lead to better surgical and recovery outcomes.
