Dr. Osnat Wende is a pain management specialist, a graduate of Hadassah Medical Center. She has worked in various clinics under Clalit and Maccabi Health Services in the field of musculoskeletal pain and general pain management. Previously, she worked at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, specializing in musculoskeletal pain and completing her pain management training with honors. Dr. Wende led the musculoskeletal pain treatment unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem’s pain clinic and has taught pain management to residents, anesthesiologists, and medical students over the years. She founded the Israeli Society for Musculoskeletal Medicine (ISMM), affiliated with the Israel Medical Association, in 2001. Dr. Wende is an active member of both ISMM and the Israel Medical Association and has played a key role in organizing ISMM educational courses. She actively teaches doctors from various fields about managing musculoskeletal pain, and many specialists—including orthopedists, anesthesiologists, rehabilitation physicians, neurologists, and family doctors—have credited her courses with transforming their approach to medicine. Dr. Wende sees patients at her private clinic in Mevaseret Zion and at the Pain Clinic in Assuta Medical Center, Jerusalem. Her focus is on regenerative medicine, which utilizes the body's own components to heal damaged tissues without introducing foreign substances. This approach tends to involve fewer side effects and risks compared to conventional pain treatments, which often rely on steroid injections. In Dr. Wende's clinic, every treatment, including the initial consultation, addresses the underlying cause of pain, aiming not just to relieve symptoms but also to correct the source of the dysfunction.
