Club Foot
Club foot, also known as congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV), is a congenital deformity of the foot that occurs in 1–2 out of every 1,000 newborns. The diagnosis is usually clear: the affected foot is smaller than the other, often with a thinner and/or shorter calf, the foot is turned inward, the Achilles tendon is shorter, causing the heel to be pulled towards the back of the calf, and there is an inward deviation of the heel. The midfoot and toes point downward, giving the foot a bean shape. The condition is rigid and can be only partially corrected.

Walking with in-toeing (feet turning inward) is one of the most common complaints from parents of children up to age 5 and one of the most frequent reasons for referral to a pediatric orthopedist. In the vast majority of children, in-toeing will self-correct over time as the child grows.
Idiopathic Scoliosis
The normal structure of the spine includes a forward curve in the thoracic area and a backward curve in the lumbar area. When there is a lateral curve, forming an "S" shape when viewed from behind, this condition is called scoliosis. Many conditions can lead to scoliosis: congenital vertebral anomalies, neurological disorders, and many syndromes. However, most cases of scoliosis occur as an isolated issue, not related to other conditions. The cause of scoliosis is unknown, hence it is called idiopathic scoliosis.
