I am writing this review out of considerable familiarity with the world of treatment and psychiatry, from professional work alongside psychiatrists, and I can say wholeheartedly - Dr. Ophir Livneh is one of the most professional, sharp, and impressive psychiatrists I have met.
He has an extraordinary ability to understand a person quickly and deeply. He asks precise questions, knows exactly when to delve deeper and when not to exhaust the patient, picks up on body language, nuances, and small details, and manages to integrate all the information into a complete picture.
Not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms - but also the person themselves, their inner world, the reality in which they live, and the resources available to them.
He is very sharp and direct. He does not embellish reality and does not only say what is pleasant to hear, but in his unique way he manages to say difficult things with empathy and in a way that strengthens.
One of the things that stands out most to me is that Dr. Livneh does not give up on the patient. He accompanies, checks in, shows interest, and dedicates far more of his time than I have ever known within a psychiatric setting - and sometimes even beyond the time that is paid for. You feel that the wellbeing of the person in front of him truly matters to him.
In the process of addiction treatment there is naturally fear, resistance, and a great deal of hesitation.
Dr. Livneh knows how to give a very clear professional recommendation, while at the same time listening to the patient's wishes, understanding their circumstances, and trying, as much as the situation allows, to build a treatment path that is both medically sound and feasible for the person in front of him.
If you are hesitant or afraid to reach out - I can only say: give him a chance.
