Hello readers, I am writing this review almost a year after my first meeting with Dr. Amit. We had a total of two meetings. My life changed within two weeks of the first meeting. Throughout my life I suffered from anxiety and depression disorders at varying levels. I came to Dr. Amit at age 44, having already been on medication since about age 25. I shared with Dr. Amit my feelings, what my day-to-day looked like, my exercise routine, and my diet. Afterward, he asked to see my most recent blood tests and immediately understood. It was all there, for decades, in every blood test, without any doctor bothering to look at the data from the right angle while taking into account the broader context (diet, daily routine, etc.). Not even the family doctors I switched three times over the years, who were aware of my medication treatment. I left the meeting with Dr. Amit with a one-page summary explaining that I should purchase several supplements. One called methylfolate, a derivative of folic acid that it turns out my body cannot produce on its own, along with several other supplements that are beneficial for everyone but carry greater significance in my case. Within a week or two of taking the supplements, I could easily attest to a significant change in my overall mood, in my daily ongoing balance, and in the familiar symptoms of anxiety. On one hand, I was incredibly happy that there was a solution to the problem. On the other hand, I was saddened to discover how simple the solution was, and how much indifference the mental health aspect receives from the routine medical services we use. A family doctor who simply asked me questions while also looking at my blood tests would have understood there was a problem. Perhaps they wouldn't have understood the effect on the mind, but they could have referred me to try to understand where the problem lay. Dr. Amit's expertise would still have been needed to draw conclusions about the treatment and dosages, but at least I would have reached him much earlier and enjoyed a higher quality of life in the years that passed as well. I warmly recommend consulting with Dr. Amit, and especially giving a chance to his method, his approach, his recommendations, and his guidance to make changes while in motion. Thank you, Doctor 🙏
