We came to Dr. Idan Levi with our daughter, a soldier, due to a complex medical condition, amid medical uncertainty and genuine concern for her wellbeing and the continuation of her military service. Already at the first meeting, we were impressed by a thorough, sharp, and honest doctor, who examines every detail in depth, does not rush to conclusions, and explains things clearly, patiently, and humanely. But what happened after the meeting was even more exceptional: Dr. Levi, on his own initiative, returned to the visit summary and expanded it, so that the complex medical picture would be clear and accurate for any doctors who might read it in the future. Dr. Levi outlined a comprehensive medical workup for us, precisely guided us on which tests needed to be performed, examined the results, and referred us to complete the workup with the most suitable specialist. Thanks to his guidance, our daughter completed all the required tests, in a way that allowed her condition to be assessed based on a complete and accurate medical picture. Dr. Levi continued to accompany us and remained involved long after the visit with him had ended. When it became clear that the military was about to discharge our daughter due to a classification that did not accurately reflect the full medical picture, Dr. Levi was not satisfied with merely writing a medical opinion and did not see his role as ending there. He reexamined the data, worked to clarify the medical picture, spoke personally with the relevant senior medical officials, and connected them with each other, so that the case would be examined on its merits and based on accurate facts. His involvement was decisive. As a result of his actions, the case was reexamined and an exceptional decision was made that allowed our daughter to continue the military service that meant so much to her. We have no doubt that without his determination, responsibility, and the efforts he invested, this would not have happened. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Levi was professional, available, modest, and caring. He embodies a rare combination of medical excellence, integrity, responsibility, and humanity - a doctor who does not see only tests and documents, but the person behind them, and is willing to do everything necessary so that they receive the proper treatment and consideration.
